2024 Annual Conference ‘Masterpiece’
Our franchise family recently gathered in beautiful sunny Orlando, Florida for our annual conference.
This year’s theme was… MASTERPIECE!
A work of outstanding artistry, skill, or workmanship.
It is the unique talents, backgrounds, and abilities that each of our owners and employees bring to a school that goes into creating a Masterpiece for each and every parent that we serve with beautiful portraits.
Four days, we came together to learn & be inspired, improve our skills, recognize our achievements, and fellowship.
We kicked off the week with our top franchise earners for an all-inclusive relaxing hang out before conference began.
The highlight of our time together was a day spent together at Epcot, enjoying the Festival of Arts and a French dinner at Chefs de France!
Melissa Tash visited the park with us in spirit after her recent knee surgery.

Paint by Numbers Team Building Activity
One of our owner’s favorite activities each year, is the team building activity. We couldn’t have a Masterpiece themed conference without pulling out some paint! Not only is our personal chef, Kathryn Baggett, good at feeding us, but she is also an artist. She designed a painting – “Looking Through the Lens Sunset.” Each team chose 1 person who would be their painter, and then additional people who would get instructions to guide them in different learning styles. 1 person, “the eyes” got to see the final painting for 5 seconds, 2 people, “the ears” got to hear a vivid auditory description of the painting, and 2 people, “the hands” got to hear a step by step guided painting description and sketch a plan to guide their team. They had to work together to guide their painter to a completed painting as close to the original as possible. This activity brought fun, frustration, and key takeaways for everyone involved. We learned the importance of giving and receiving communication with our teams to make sure we all end up at the desired end result.
Of course, we always have to add an element of competitiveness to our team building activities and the Support Team choose the team who completed the painting as close to the original design.
The Purple team got the closest to the original painting design with all the elements in place.
Improve Our Skills
We spent time learning how to use our Spring set, Mon Ami. We truly strive to create a beautiful, authentic, portraits that will be cherished forever…. not just a school photo! One of the ways we refine our skills is through our print competition. We enlisted 3 esteemed judges, Rick Avalos, Jeff Johnson, and Shannon Squires-Toews to judge our work before we came together at conference. Their scores determined merits and category winners.
Here are the 1st place winners in each category… and see the slide show for all our award winning images!

Celebration
This year Spoiled Rotten Photography celebrates its 21 year Anniversary since this boutique preschool photography business began in Huntsville, AL. When Melissa Tash discovered she could make a living for her family focusing solely on photographing preschoolers she knew she had to share this concept with other families and the franchise was birthed 10 years later.
Many of our owners stayed an extra day to be able to enjoy a day together at the Magic Kingdom Park!
