Providence Porch Portraits – Meet your Neighbors! The Mumby Family!
Meet John & Jennifer Mumby of Hillcrest Ave. I decided that Hillcrest Ave. is full of friendly neighbors! This adorable couple, was in the middle of 3 families that we met when doing the porch portraits on Hillcrest, and each family was so kind, you could feel the neighborly vibes between all of them. We found ourselves just lingering, talking, neighboring long after the session (all at 6 ft, mind you). So nice to meet neat folks. Excited to get to know them better. Walking Hillcrest more, just to feel the friendly vibes. Well… hmmm… there are friendly vibes all over the neighborhood. I do love it here. But I digress, meet my new friends, the Mumbys.
How long have you lived in the Village of Providence? 6 months
What is your favorite thing about living in the Village? Neighbors and neighborhood feel, walkability. The Village with shops and restaurants (especially now)
Tell us about your family! Jennifer grew up near here in TN. John is from New Jersey. Moved here after 22 years in the Atlanta area.
Tell us about your occupation! We own a sales agency in the home decor and gift industry.
How are y’all doing with social distancing? We work from home and have no kids so this is not that drastically different for us. If we have to be isolated though, VOP is the ideal place to be with neighbors we can interact with from our porches, restaurants nearby that offer takeout, and places where we can get out and walk in the fresh air.
Tell us about what you like to do! We love travel, wine, history. Jennifer is an artist/painter. John likes to cook. We just adopted brother and sister kitties, Jett and Luna. One day we hope they will come out from under our bed.
